- creation begin with God speaking order the watery mass
- in repentance and receiving forgiveness we seek/desire baptism as seal of transformation beginning
- Jesus gives believers living water,
- The rivers of water within quench our spirits, refresh, and release us to live in peace with Creator and creation
We are more than flesh dwelling in fallen state, we are reconciled, reconciling, and rejoicing in spiritual return to fellowship. Moving beyond the physical existence to engage in a life of worship – living in spirit and truth.
Luke 23: 46 And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said,“Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’”[a] Having said this, He breathed His last.
New King James Version (NKJV)
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
2 Cor 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Rivers run through me enabling me to live in this world of challenges, burdens, injustices, and to stand in the assurance that when Jesus committed his spirit to God completing the salvation and deliverance for the world, it was a complete work.
I can celebrate in storms because I know my Creator breathed spirit into me giving me life, Jesus my Savior and LORD is the great connector of the river of God running through humanity offering spiritual deliverance from spiritual depravity. I can declare it is a Good Friday, everyday is a good day because my spirit is committed to God through Jesus Christ. Though I struggle or fall, I have faith in this treasure held within my earthen body…this power to live in peace in the midst of chaos and pain is of God and not me. I can celebrate in the worst of times and feel the privilege of never being alone even in the silent and grievious hours of this life…I am living a finished life.
